RFID Tracking System for Elderly & Children
Amtel
introduces an Asset Tracking System which utilizes a new wristband
RFID tag that can track the movements of elderly patients in an
assisted living facility, children in an amusement park or even
tourist groups on a bus tour.
This tracking system uses RFID controllers which are installed at
strategic doors and passageways in the facility.
All
in & out movements of people wearing these tags are recorded and
presented in a graphic form on a Computer to security personnel.
Another similar system, called the Asset Monitoring System is
designed to make sure that all tagged people are present at all
times. This system relies on RFID readers that surround an area,
like a park, and keep a tab on all the tags that were programmed to
be watched in that area. Should
any
of the tagged individuals leave the area, the system will trigger an
alarm. For example, such a system is ideal to assure alzheimer type
patients from wandering away.
Amtel also offers a "Dual Parameter Check" system which matches two tags (one on the individual, and the other on the asset) and triggers an alarm if this combination is not approved in the system. E.g. the system could determine if the combination of "Patient + Wheelchair" or Child + Mother" is an acceptable match before opening a door.
