New Biometric Time & Attendance Unit from AMTEL

The new Time & Attendance unit from AMTEL makes sure buddy punching is eliminated from payroll records since it checks the fingerprint of each user. This also ensures accurate record keeping of Work-Time per the wage administration guidelines. The T & A unit incorporates a built-in proximity card reader and a fingerprint reader, a 4-line alphanumeric display and an optional touch-keypad to enter job# or other data. The complete unit integrates a full function control panel that provides full access control for a door or gate. It also has a TCP/IP port that connects the unit to existing LAN network in the system, eliminating the need for any special cabling. Software provides a complete set of reports and can export all pertinent data to the payroll program for the company. It also integrates fully with the access control, parking and other building security and management systems available under the AMWATCH umbrella.

“First of its kind” project in California awarded to AMTEL

A prestigious Golf & Residential Community in Rancho Mirage awarded a contract to AMTEL to overhaul their entire perimeter security system that incorporate 4 gate entrances on the perimeter of the property. The goal of this project is to strengthen security while saving over $250,000 per year in guard-cost to the community. This is accomplished by introducing “Virtual” control stations at all gate entrances so they can be operated without live security personnel at non-peak traffic times. Residents will use an active RFID tag that will be read automatically by the reader to open the gate. Visitors shall be screened with the aid of their drivers’ license and by checking authorization from the appropriate resident. An exit lane control station shall record every visitor exit, so the system can track all the visitors on the property at any time. Strategically located CCTV cameras will record all activity in all lanes and shall store critical data in freeze-frame format and in live video formats. The complete system is managed from one control center that is in real-time communication with all entrances and ensures that the data is synchronized amongst all devices. The project is scheduled for implementation in October, 2005.
