Access Control Panels: XP/IP Panel with a display and touch keypad

The XP/IP Access Control Panel package can include a touch keypad with up to 48 keys, a 4X20 LCD display and even a proximity reader for applications in time & attendance or debit card acceptance.

XP/IP Access Control Panel can control up to two doors or gates and offers advanced features not available on panels costing twice as much. It can be used as a Standalone panel or a network panel on a new or existing LAN/WAN computer network; or, it can be connected over a RS232/485 network; or, can operate over a regular phone line. There are various options available for various customized applications. In this option a touch keypad with LCD display is offered.

A programming keypad is included with the access control panel, which can be used for on-site programming in stand-alone applications and also used as a back-up tool when computer communication fails. It is designed to detect human touch on up 48 keys when used with a scanned, passive X-Y matrix. This device contains auto self-calibration, drift compensation, and digital filtering algorithms that make the sensing function robust and survivable.

The XP/IP Access Control panel also has the optional ability to add an alphanumeric display that can be used for easy user communication like ‘available balance’ on a tag in a ‘Debit Card’ type application. It’s a 5X7 character format, with 20 characters X 4 lines. It has a wide viewing angle with high contrast. The background is of yellow-green with black characters. The display is of dark dots on light background. This whole panel with the touch keypad and LCD display is housed in the Metal cabinet (BW-99 enclosure) with the power supply.

A proximity card reader is also provided for reading the proximity cards. Proximity readers are of various read ranges available; from 3” – 8” card read range. When a proximity card is shown at the reader in the prescribed read range an LED will glow indicating the activity. Sealed in a rugged weatherized polycarbonate enclosure designed to withstand harsh environments providing reliable performance.

The XP/IP panel works with the AMWATCH Access Control Software to offer a full range of features normally associated only with larger and more expensive systems. Features like "Remote Download" capability, "Self-Diagnostics" and Multiple Mounting Options.
