-
A special processor that
manages power efficiently.
-
A battery pack that can
operate the unit for weeks without external power.
-
A solar charge unit that
can keep the batteries fully charged at all times.
-
The Trailer Tracking Unit
(TTU) is designed to be completely self-contained and
comes with many unique features, including:
-
Can operate with power
from the cab battery, the internal battery pack or the
solar cells integrated in the unit.
-
Unit is designed to be
aerodynamic to reduce drag on a trailer while in motion.
-
TTU is designed for
location on the roof of the trailer; in the front,
center or rear of the trailer unit.
-
In the rear mount
application, it is provided with three amber lights that
provide a natural camouflage.
-
In center mount
applications, the unit is not visible from street level
and looks like a skylight, if observed.
-
TTU operates full time
when connected to Cab Battery. However, as soon as cab
battery is disconnected, the unit goes into Hibernation,
conserving power and relying on the power available from
the battery pack.
-
The system awakes from
hibernation as soon as there is a movement and send a
message to the clients cell phone, pager or PDA
registered on the website.
-
System can provide a
complete Start/Stop report on trip or history of the
trailer unit.
-
System is capable to
monitor doors. And in case somebody tries to tamper with
it, an alarm is sent to the cell phone or pagers or any
other PDA through the wireless network.
-
System provides location
of trailer automatically as per schedule on the website.
Also new updates can be requested on a daily basis (or
more often if configured in the system).
-
The client can program
the schedule for the periodic status reports.
